I was sitting on the floor with my husband after a really late night before he started work from his new office, AKA our bedroom. We were just sitting there while I was playing with his hair when a word of knowledge came to me.

Why would God save a nation that would continue being lukewarm and keep wandering from Him?

Why would God save a people who continually divide others from each other, who do not seek peace and pursue it?

Why would God punish a nation? Is it not to bring a people back to Himself?

Why would I save the USA?

I would save you from your wicked ways. I would save you from selfishness, from pride, from growing fat with blessing. I would correct you and chastise you because I love you.

All these things tear you apart from Me. I will bring correction upon you as necessary to restore you to Me.

This is what is hanging in the balance the next several months.

Why would I save a nation?

I would save a nation from itself, if they turn to Me with all their hearts, minds, souls and strength.

The Lord chastises whom He loves. He disciplines those whom He calls legitimate sons. Therefore, do not lose hope in correction. (Hebrews 12:4-7)

How else do I get a people’s attention but by shaking them awake? How can I speak to you when you have grown stiff-necked?

Humble yourselves and live. (James 4:8-10)

I said “God, I cant put that out there. People will think I’m judgmental.”

And all I felt was the love of a desperate Father for His children.

And He said,

“I tell you these things because I love you. I want to restore you to Me. ”

Then a little while later, my children got into a disagreement and illustrated these divisions perfectly. And then this came:

“All I need you to do is confess, repent and make things right with your brothers and sisters, with those around you. I don’t need you to punish yourself or to beat yourself up. I don’t want you to run and hide from Me. Confess, turn away from these things and live.”
