Worship positions God for His authority to be demonstrated here on earth!

There was a Scripture that’s been running through my head the last day or so that I couldn’t seem to get out of my head.

Before I get to it, I listened to Donald Trump’s Press conference for 4/10/20 and he said something that piqued my interest. He said:

“So think of it, in this horrible period–this horrible dark period where this monster came and worked its horrible, horrible spell over the world.

Donald Trump, 4/10/2020

For quote, watch minute 17:38-17:50

Worked its spell. What an interesting choice of words for certain. This only intensified my need to re-read the scripture that was running through my head. I got up from what I was doing and told my husband, “I want to worship.” He said, “yeah, I was going to tell you that was the next thing I wanted to do.”

So we squared away the children with their meal and began to worship. There was already a song on my heart to worship with and then it went on from there. Then we prayed.

Oh how we prayed. We began to pray for our nation. We interceded for the President, his advisors and counsel.

It was powerful.

Afterwards, we went on a walk. As we were walking I finally looked up the verse. Malachi 3:5.

Since it was only five verses into the chapter, I was eager to read it from the beginning. I read it aloud:

Mal 3:1  “See, I am sending My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. Then suddenly the Master you are seeking comes to His Hěḵal [Temple], even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. See, He is coming,” said יהוה of hosts.
Mal 3:2  “And who is able to bear the day of His coming, and who is able to stand when He appears? For He is like the fire of a refiner, and like the soap of a launderer.
Mal 3:3  “And He shall sit as a refiner and a cleanser of silver. And He shall cleanse the sons of LÄ›wi [Levi], and refine them as gold and silver, and they shall belong to יהוה, bringing near an offering in righteousness.
Mal 3:4  “Then shall the offering of Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim be pleasant to יהוה, as in the days of old, as in former years.
Mal 3:5  “And I shall draw near to you for right-ruling. And I shall be a swift witness against the practisers of witchcraft, and against adulterers, and against them that swear to falsehood, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages and widows and the fatherless, and those who turn away a sojourner and do not fear Me,” said יהוה of hosts.

Mal 3:1-5, The Scriptures 2009

I was stunned when I looked up because, all of sudden I realized that exactly where I was standing and reading this verse aloud reminded me of the Messenger in the sky that I saw last July (photo below: note the rainbow at the angel’s feet). I was now convinced worship and prayer had to continue because last year at the very same place I saw this in the sky was the exact place I was reading this scripture aloud 9 months later! That night in July, I encountered God like I had never encountered Him before.

When I got home from seeing that last year, we started to worship. Today, after worship, we were both walking exactly where I first saw the angel. It was a perfect chiasm.

Worship positions God for His authority to be demonstrated here on earth!

Our worship is our offering to the Father. Our offerings give our Father cause to come against His enemies. Then we can pray against sorcery and God Himself will bear a swift witness against sorcery and magic! No wonder He has been laying worship so heavily on my heart lately. He wants to bear witness against these things, including what the President said, “this monster [that] came and worked its horrible, horrible spell over the world.”

I thought I would share one of my favorite worship songs. It’s not very common, but its probably one of the most anointed songs I have ever heard in my life. And please take some time to worship. Then please pray for our President according to that dream that God gave Jeremiah Johnson. I believe we will see an end to this through worship and prayer.
